The Second International Meeting in Nice

In the framework of the EUGMS Congress in Nice, France, the 20th of September 2017 the EUROSAF Study organizes a dedicated Symposium to present the results and the state of the art of the first year of cooperation among the participating Geriatric Wards in different EU countries. During the symposium, the EUROSAF team is expected to show the functioning of the multidimensional tool (MPI), validated in several EU countries, as well as the preliminary results of the study, with the presentation of a poster linked to the abstract “The European study of older subjects with atrial fibrillation (EUROSAF). The third international meeting in Berlin

After more than 2 years of cooperation, the 19 centers involved in the EUROSAF study are going to meet in Berlin in the framework of the EUGMS Congress, the 12th of October 2018. More than 1000 patients had been recruited so far and some significant scientific evidences are emerging. Under the chairmanship of Dr. Stefania Maggi and Dr. Tomasz Grodzicki, 3 different presentation will be performed: Dr. Timo Strandberg (Finland) is going to talk about the “Prevalence and consequences of AF in older people”, while Dr. Maria Cristina Polidori (Germany) is going to deal with “Anticoagulants in AF: RCTs, real life and guidelines”. The closing presentation will be performed by Dr. Alberto Pilotto (Italy) and will be focused on the following theme: “From guidelines to personalized treatment in older people”.
